molten wonky Open Studio and Workshops

Open Studios are events where artists invite you into their workspace so you can have a peek around their studio and see where their work is created. You will also be able to view and buy their work if something takes your fancy! molten wonky loves hosting these kind of events and we are getting our new studio ready for you to come and see us again in June.

molten wonky has been running Open Studio events for years and they are popular with customers who want to buy gifts and decorations as well as giving them the opportunity to have a go at glass fusing.

Our drop-in sessions are designed for you to make a decoration, prices start at £20 per person. If you are new to glass fusing then Katie will explain how to make your picture and you can get making.

When you arrive at the the studio the wonky shop will be set up, as will the workshop table. The idea is that you sit down, decide what you fancy making, a Picture, a Coaster, a Bird, a Rainbow, a Sun-Catcher or a Christmas Tree, do a simple sketch design and then get making. These sessions can get really busy so we ask that you limit your time to about 45 mins max if there is a que. 

If you want to spend longer on your work you can get some friends together and Host a Workshop or you can buy a Kit to Make at Home.

You can choose to make from lots of different clear glass templates including a Picture, Coaster, Rainbow and seasonal decorations. There will be a wide selection of glass laid out on the workshop table including frits, fragments and stringers which are available in a whole rainbow of colours. It's good to have an idea of what you would like to make as this reduces the time. Pintrest has some lovely ideas.

Cost start at £20 per person. Your work gets fired in the kiln and will be ready to collect the following week.
