how we make our glass present ornaments
Our colourful glass present decorations are individually hand-cut from sheets of transparent glass. Katie then layers opaque glass rods across the surface to create the authentic look of ribbons wrapped around a gift.
Each bundle is then carefully arranged before being fired in the kiln, where the glass fuses together into a smooth and glossy decoration. After cooling, Katie finishes each present with a real ribbon bow and a nylon hanging loop so it’s ready to display as soon as it reaches your doorstep.
Each present is handmade at our Essex glass fusing studio, so you may find slight variations in colour, shape, and ribbon placement. This handmade quality is what makes molten wonky’s fused glass creations so marvellous!
